Orientation Day for Sixth Formers organized by Chinese University of Hong Kong
To give sixth formers a better understanding of tertiary education and let them have a glimpse of university life, The Chinese University of Hong Kong organized the Orientation Day for Sixth Formers on Saturday, 27 September 2003 to introduce the full range of programmes it offers and give useful tips on admissions.

The main purpose of organizing this visit is to help d-fivers to set a goal for themselves.  It's vital to know that the CE results have great influence on the chance of admission to university.  Therefore, it's highly beneficial to start exploring their career path early even though they're now fifth formers only.

Our guides, who are also CCSC old boys, Simon Tsang (5D, 2000-2001) and Daniel Mak (5E, 1998-1999), led those d-fivers to different exhibition areas.  The first place to visit is the Faculty of Business Administration, in which Wilson Cheung, Bruce and Carol have immense interest.  The student helpers there explained in great details about the admission requirements.

Simon Tsang then brought us to a geography laboratory, in which the student helpers introduced recent overseas field trips organized by the Geography and Resource Management Department.  The clear presentation aroused their interest in the study of geography.

¡@¡@The Orientation Day provided detailed and first hand information about the undergraduate programmes offered by the University.  The girls show great interest in Japanese Studies, History and Economics Department.

After the visit, they took a rest in Chung Chi Campus, where a large football field was found.¡@

Cindy and Nicola are very good fun-makers.  They show their humour from the following few pictures.

The girls expressed their sense of belonging to their own class.  Can you recognize the message they want to bring out?

I'm sure those d-fivers feel satisfied about the visit, as you can see, they got a lot of souvenirs from different exhibition counters.  Lastly, let's say goodbye to all CU students and thanks Simon and Daniel for their sincere assistance!  See you in the next university visit.
