Field Trip to Shek O

On a sunny afternoon, d-fivers marched to Shek O for their maiden field study in Form 5.  All of them were active in learning and well-behaved.  They brought their clip files, handouts and stationery, ready to jot down the notes.  First, they were required to climb onto a giant block of rock, so that they could see the open sea in the east.  All of them had no problem in accomplishing this task, except Cindy and Star, who were carrying too much load.

The girls were smarter than boys.  They had no fear of the huge waves behind them.  The strong destructive waves were washing the rocky shores, in the form of hydraulic action and abrasion.

George, Raymond, Eric and Maurice were the only 4 male participants of the field study.  Do you think they enjoy the trip?

Soon, they reached the top of Tai Tau Chau, studying coastal features like geo, sea caves and tombolo.  They also study weathering processes like block disintegration and honeycomb weathering.
